In Indonesia, education is not free and students are required to make monthly payments to the school. This monthly payment is mandatory and is used to run the operations of the school such as updating books in the library, maintaining and purchasing new sports equipment, and repairing school facilities. Failing to pay these fees will result in the student being expelled from school. This expense also means that some middle schoolers drop out of school at a young age so they can contribute to their family’s financial needs by begging or getting a low-wage job.
Your help will allow underprivileged kids to stay in school and will empower them to discover their potential.
$150 is the cost of these school fees for one kid for one year. Our goal is to raise $10,800 so that 24 children can finish all three years of middle school without worrying about the cost.
