In March of 2019 massive flooding and landslides occurred washing out entire villages. The people of these villages lost their homes, livelihood and most everything they owned. A group of ladies gathered together, learned the art of Macrame and began selling their pieces as a way to earn income for their families. Each macrame plant holder purchased empowers these women, who have chosen to persevere and rebuild their lives through great loss.
Each Macrame piece is handmade in Papua, Indonesia. Materials are 100% Cotton, ethically sourced & all the artisans are paid fair-wages.
