Meet Widya
Hi my name is Widya, I live in Munduk Dawa, Bali. I live with my family. My father works as a farmer and my mother usually helps my father in the fields. Usually harvest is three times a year, depending on the weather. Every day after school I do my homework and also clean the house. Because my mother helps my father in the fields, my sister and I usually divide the tasks to clean our house. My hobby is cooking. I have a dream of becoming a chef, that's why I study hard, in hopes I can finish my education and pursue my dream. Our family has a small income and depending on the season, there are times when the harvest is bad and my father doesn’t get much of a salary at all. Often times I want to ask my parents for things I need for school, but I don’t want to burden them. I know they work hard and I would hate to make them feel like I don’t have enough. This year I will graduate from elementary school and I hope that I can continue on to Middle School. I really desire to continue my education, but I also don’t want my parents to worry about the school fees.
